Accidentally on Purpose by Jill Shalvis Review
Accidentally on Purpose
Heartbreaker Bay # 3
By Jill Shalvis
Released: January 24th, 2017
Tour Host: Inkslinger PR
From New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis comes the next sexy, standalone novel in the Heartbreaker Bay series…
There’s no such thing as a little in love . . .
Elle Wheaton’s priorities: friends, career, and kick-ass shoes. Then there’s the muscular wall of stubbornness that’s security expert Archer Hunt—who comes before everything else. No point in telling Mr. “Feels-Free Zone” that, though. Elle will just see other men until she gets over Archer . . . which should only take a lifetime . . .
There’s no such thing as a little in lust . . .
Archer’s wanted the best for Elle ever since he sacrificed his law-enforcement career to save her. Their chemistry could start the next San Francisco earthquake and he craves her 24/7, but Archer doesn’t want to be responsible for the damage. The alternative? Watch her go out with guys who aren’t him . . .
There is such a thing as . . .
As far as Archer’s concerned, nobody is good enough for Elle. But when he sets out to prove it by sabotaging her dates, she gets mad—and things get hot as hell. Now Archer has a new mission: prove to Elle that her perfect man has been here all along . . .
I was thrilled when I got my hands on Accidentally on Purpose by Jill Shalvis, she had quickly become one of my favorite authors, and with Accidentally on Purpose, she has somehow made and amazing series even better!
We have finally come to Archer and Elle's story and boy! It didn't disappoint. When Archer first discovered Elle, she was 16 years old and caught in an awful situation, but Archer knew Elle was special and knew he needed to protect her, even if it meant walking away from his father and his position as a police officer.
Fast forward eleven years and Archer was still protecting Elle from a fair, even if they pretended to be friends. But for Archer, it was more than just protection, it was desire, but he always felt that he was not good enough for her, but he can't fight desire any longer and their relationship changes and enter this roller-coaster battle between intense lovemaking and Elle being angry at him.
But then their past resurfaces, it throws everything into jeopardy and you are left yelling at the book.
I seriously cannot even explain just how much I love this book...but that might be because I have only had 3 hours of sleep, because I couldn't put the book down!! From the get go, you can't help but love Elle and her feisty she'll, with her heart of gold underneath. Archer’s character is harder to love at first...but then you realize that his arrogant and standoffish demeanor, is not who he really is, he is kind, loyal and protective of his friends, but he does have one achilles heel...Elle.
The book is well written and the plot delicious and of course the hashtags are ever present and I sincerely hope that this book is made into a movie!
I give Accidentally on Purpose 5 stars!

One Snowy Night by Jill Shalvis Review
New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis returns to Heartbreaker Bay with a fun and festive holiday novella! Order your copy for just $0.99 today!
It’s Christmas Eve and Rory Andrews is desperate to get home to the family she hasn’t seen in years. Problem is, her only ride to Lake Tahoe comes in the form of the annoyingly handsome Max Stranton, and his big, goofy, lovable dog Carl.
Hours stuck in a truck with the dead sexy Max sounds like a fate worse than death (not), but Rory’s out of options. She’s had a crush on Max since high school and she knows he’s attracted to her, too. But they have history… and Max is the only one who knows why it went south.
They’ve done a good job of ignoring their chemistry so far, but a long road trip in a massive blizzard might be just what they need to face their past… and one steamy, snowy night is all it takes to bring Max and Rory together at last.
Rory Andrews was actually going home! To a place she left 6 years ago;
Rory had left in her junior year, after setting off a chain of events, that
changed everyone's life. She had worked hard and got her GED and had been
barely making ends meet at the South Bark Mutt Shop, but Rory had been getting
her life together and was determined not to let her family down, like she had
for the past 6 years. But instead of taking trains and buses to Tahoe, she
somehow ended up with Max! the man whom hated her! And his dog Carl, that loved
her!
Max Stranton had lost everything when Rory handed a tape into their high school
before she quit town, and despite the fact that he had a great job and life, he
still harbored some resentment to Rory…that, and a heck of a lot of sexual
frustration. But when Willa talked Max in to giving Rory a ride home (not that
it took much), he wasn't expecting to have his whole opinion of her change.
One Snowy Night is an amazing story! It gives me that A Christmas Carol
feeling that, where everyone gets a chance at a fresh start. I LOVE Rory's
character, I loved her when she was in The Trouble with Mistletoe, but she
really comes into her own in this novella. Max has also shown a side we haven't
seen before; a softer side, that makes him seem a little more softer…and more
delicious.
The plot and writing in this book is truly superb! And I have to say
that I have really fallen in love with this Jill Shalvis series! And One Snowy
Night is my favorite one so far! And I hope it never ends!!
I give One Snowy Night 5 stars!!

Trouble with Mistletoe by Jill Shalvis
Trouble With Mistletoe
Heartbreaker Bay #2
By: Jill Shalvis
Release Date: September 27th, 2016
Avon
If she has her way . . .
Willa Davis is wrangling puppies when Keane
Winters stalks into her pet shop with frustration in his chocolate-brown eyes
and a pink bedazzled cat carrier in his hand. He needs a kitty sitter, stat.
But the last thing Willa needs is to rescue a guy who doesn’t even remember her
. . .
He’ll get nothing but coal in his stocking.
Saddled with his great-aunt’s Feline from Hell,
Keane is desperate to leave her in someone else’s capable hands. But in spite
of the fact that he’s sure he’s never seen the drop-dead-gorgeous pet shop
owner before, she seems to be mad at him . . .
Unless he tempers “naughty” with a special kind
of nice . . .
Willa can’t deny that Keane’s changed since high
school: he’s less arrogant, for one thing—but can she trust him not to break
her heart again? It’s time to throw a coin in the fountain, make a Christmas
wish—and let the mistletoe do its work . . .
Willa Davis is many things; child of the foster system, animal lover,
pet boutique owner, trusting person and
great friend. But when Keane Winters; guy who stood her up for the Sadie
Hawkins dance!, walks into her store, all her good feeling is thrown out the
window, and then add insult to injury…he doesn't remember her! Which makes her
even more annoyed! But it doesn't stop her from boarding the beautiful Siamese
cat he has brought with him.
When Keane Winters walked into South Bark Mutt Shop, willing to do
anything to have her keep his great aunts cat for the day, he wasn't expecting
to see a stunning women…with a x-rated headband on her head, or the fact that
his great aunts angry cat, suddenly becomes sweet and loving, so he feels good
leaving her with Willa, now if only he could figure out why he can't seem to
stay away from Willa, or her band of slightly strange bff's, but he wants to
get to know Willa better, but doesn't know why she seems so dead set against
him.
But when the truth comes to light, Keane feels such remorse over an
incident he doesn't remember. But he is determined to make it up to Willa, if
only she gives him a chance…and I'm going to stop it there, as there is SO much
more to this story, but I'm not going to give it away.
So Jill Shalvis with another amazing book in the Heartbreaker Bay
series, and she has brought the hashtags with her! Yay!! Jill Shalvis is still
a new author to me (this is only the 2nd book I have read), but it's so
incredibly easy to fall in love with her writing style and amazing plot lines.
I don't think I have ever become addicted to an author and her books, as
quickly as I have with this authors.
When it comes to the characters, I absolutely love Willa and Keane;
from Willa's soft heart to Keane's determination, it is so very easy to love
these two! Now the other characters like Rory, Archer and Max, what's not to
love! They are all divinely messed up, that I cannot wait to read their
stories.
I give Trouble with Mistletoe 5 stars!
“You want
to come upstairs, Willa?”
What she
wanted was to put her hands back on his chest now that she knew it was as hard
as it looked. Instead she gripped either side of her seat with white knuckles.
“Of course not.”
“I think
you do. I think you want something else too.”
“What I
want,” she said as coolly as she could, “is dinner as promised.”
“Liar,”
he chided softly.
“Well
that’s just rude, calling your date a liar.”
“So it is
a date.” His tone was very male and very smug. It should’ve pissed her off but
instead it did something hot and erotic to her insides.
Clearly
knowing it, he smiled at her and then dragged his teeth over his lower lip as
he contemplated her.
Gah. She
wanted to do that. And she wanted to do more too. She wanted him shockingly
badly and suddenly she couldn’t remember why she shouldn’t. She tried to access
her thought processes on the subject but her brain hiccupped and froze. Which
surely was the only reason she let go of the death grip on her seat, slid her
fingers into his hair, and . . . brushed her mouth over his.
He didn’t move, not a single muscle, but when she pulled back, his eyes had gone dark as night, piercing her with their intensity.
He didn’t move, not a single muscle, but when she pulled back, his eyes had gone dark as night, piercing her with their intensity.
“Don’t
read that the wrong way,” she whispered.
“Is there
a wrong way to take it when a beautiful woman kisses you?”
