A cop's craving to know more about the woman next door could prove fatal in the steamy new novel from New York Times best selling author Lori Foster

As the person responsible for taking down a brutal human trafficker, Alice Appleton fears retaliation at every turn. No one knows about her past, which is exactly how she prefers it…until the sexy cop next door comes knocking.

Detective Reese Bareden thinks he knows what makes women tick, but his ever-elusive neighbor keeps him guessing like no other. Is his goal to unmask Alice's secrets? Or protect her from a dangerous new threat? One thing is certain: their chemistry is a time bomb waiting to explode. And with no one to trust but each other, Reese and Alice are soon drawn into a deadly maze of corruption, intrigue and desire—and into the line of fire….

Detective Reese Bareden thinks he knows what makes women tick, but his ever-elusive neighbor keeps him guessing like no other. Is his goal to unmask Alice’s secrets? Or protect her from a dangerous new threat? One thing is certain: their chemistry is a time bomb waiting to explode. And with no one to trust but each other, Reese and Alice are soon drawn into a deadly maze of corruption, intrigue and desire.

You may remember Alice from Trace of Fever, where she was a scared, downtrodden secretary forced to work for a Human Trafficker. Alice has grown into an intelligent, practical women, she has calm, no nonsense approach but is also painfully shy, which knowing her past, is completely understandable. In this book we learn a lot more about Alice’s past, family and the kidnapping that started it all.

We are also introduced to Reese Bareden. A cop and an extrovert…the complete opposite to Alice in every way. He is intrigued by Alice, especially after the attack of Logan in his apartment (Run the Risk). Lucky for Reese he has a cute and fluffy ice breaker…Cash, his rescue puppy. After crashing on her sofa, Reese finds out that there is much more to Alice than meets the eye… including facing down more human traffickers.

There are many parts of this book that I love, but I really love it when Reese say’s “Eyes up here Alice” every time she is side tracked by staring at his body. I also love her vulnerability that she shows towards Reese and Trace. Alice’s life changes in a flash, she is put in a situation where she has to reveal her past to Reese, all the while trying not to betray Trace and finally getting a female friend in Pepper.

Bare it All earns 5 stars from me; it’s another great book by Ms. Foster.
