An alpha hero's attraction to the one woman he can't have could draw him into a killer's snare in the sizzling new novel from New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster
Charismatic bar owner Rowdy Yates isn't the kind of man women say no to. So when he approaches waitress Avery Mullins, he fully expects to get her number. However, the elusive beauty has her reasons for keeping her distance—including a past that might come back to haunt them both.
Avery spends her nights working for tips…and trying to forget the secret Rowdy is determined to unearth. But when history threatens to repeat itself, Avery grows to rely on Rowdy's protective presence. As the sparks between them ignite, she will be forced to choose between the security she's finally found…and the passion she's always wanted.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! I love everything about it and if you only buy books a couple of times a year, this should be one of them. It has everything! Sex, Lies, Confusion, A stalker and a surprise plot twist at the end that totally threw me!

When the story restarts (from Bare It All) Rowdy has made Avery the bar manager. He also has made huge changes to the Bar, which includes changing its name to Getting Rowdy. The sexual tension between Rowdy and Avery is still there. Acting on that, Rowdy asks Avery often enough (in his own way), if she is ready to move forward with what they have between them, but Avery has huge trust issues and even though she keeps saying no to Rowdy, she wants him badly. When she finally decides to take action to get together with Rowdy she finds him in a situation with another women. When Rowdy confronts Avery over what she has seen, the confusion in communication is finally cleared up, but can Avery and Rowdy sort out their relationship before the scary things in her past come back to hurt her.

This is my FAVORITE Lori Foster so far! I LOVE Rowdy and from the moment we met Avery in Bare It All, I knew she was going to change Rowdy’s life. This book is a stand-alone book, but also fits this series perfectly. Lori Fosters writing is always smooth and well researched. I have never found any plot holes in her works. She is truly an amazing author.

So after all of my waffling ;-) I give Getting Rowdy a very well deserved 5 stars!
