back to California, but now that makes Beth an easy target, and she is
kidnapped Jack goes out of his mind and does everything he can get her back for
she is his whole life…but will he make it in time to save her!?
I will
have to say from the beginning that I wish I had read Midnight Delta books 1
and 2 before I read this one. Now don’t get me wrong, you can definitely read
Her Adoring SEAL as a stand-alone, but I think that you are taking away from
the overall plot and there were a couple of references that I did not
understand. But other than that I really loved Beth and Jack and I’m very firm
in my dislike of Beth’s father. I did find the plot to be a little fast in
places and slow in others, which frustrated me a little as I felt like I missed
out, but there were few and far between.
Overall
I found Her Adoring SEAL a thrilling read that kept me gripped, which is why I
gave it 4 stars.
They were going to kill her. Jack gripped his gun as he looked into the storage room. Griff was across the square in the bell tower, and Jack had just gotten word he found three of the other doctors and could take down their captors. Aiden and Dex were on other floors of the hospital looking for hostages and tangos. Their lieutenant was outside ready to give the command to Aiden to start taking out the targets. That left him in the basement to find this horror.
The woman was on her knees, her shirt torn, breasts spilling out, and a face covered in blood and bruises. She had one arm wrapped around a man’s hips like a lover, her cheek pressed against his thigh, and her blonde hair tangled with his pubic hair. That’s where the farce ended. The tip of the knife she held was pressed against his balls, and Jack could see a trickle of blood.
“Come closer and I will cut off his cock,” she said in raspy Spanish.
“Kill her.” The man commanded to the three other men in the room.
“Sir, the bullet could hit you.”
“You’re two feet away. You can’t shoot straight? Kill the bitch!”
The woman flinched, and the knife bit into the man’s tender flesh. He yowled.
“Kill her now, she’s cutting me.”
“You keep talking and threatening me and you’ll never father a child. Tell them to back off.”
Jack admired her bravery, but what did she think she was going to accomplish? How in the hell did she think she was going to get out of this mess?

Brianna decides to quickly leave town. Despite adamant entreaties of her family, she’s determined go before things unravel even more and she becomes a burden. Can Zac, Charlie and the family make one last ditch effort to make Brianna realize how much they want to cherish her no matter what the future might hold?
I was
super excited to be reading another of Caitlyn O’Leary books, I
love her ménage series, they’re so delicious but what I wasn’t expecting was it
to relate to my real life in a rather strange way.
Brianna
is heading home, for her foster sister’s wedding, but the wedding, like much in
Brianna’s life, is a little out of the norm. Brianna; it seems has grown up in
a town which is filled with couples in polygamous relationships.
But
that is not what makes Brianna different. Brianna is an emotionally destroyed woman,
which has a good calm shell. You see, Brianna’s father suffered from Schizophrenia,
that was untreated and she lived through hell jumping back and forth into
foster care. Brianna is a master of shutting everyone out, but she doesn’t do
it to hurt them, no it’s to protect them, because she thinks one day she is
going to turn into her father. So after deciding to spend one last month in Fate
Harbor, saying goodbye to her foster family, before locking herself away for
good, she falls in love, with not just one man but two.
Sheriff
Charlie Meade and the town vet, Zac Carmichael both love Brianna and are
willing to work at a tri-ad relationship with Brianna, if only they can
convince her to stay.
Wow! What
a story! Cherishing Brianna is such a beautiful tale; I found it a joy to read
and very well researched. As a close family member of mine is Paranoid Schizophrenic,
and it is a daily struggle not only for him, but us family members. Reading
Caitlyn’s descriptions of attacks hit very close to home with me. So I thank
her for writing them in detail and with accuracy. I found the writing smooth,
unhurried and without plot holes.
I give
Cherishing Brianna 10 out of 10.
I was born in Seattle
Washington, but soon moved to a small town North of there, which is
where I grew up. I’m the oldest of five children, so it was a lively
household, and reading became my way to block out the noise. I am an
avid reader. I love every genre, but romance and happily ever afters
have always been my favorite books. I remember in middle school my
biology teacher taking a Rosemary Rogers book away from me; I didn’t
understand why—she was certainly teaching me aspects of biology!
As I grew up, I would write stories to entertain myself and my younger siblings. I often wrote their book reports for them. My brothers were only one year apart in age. I wrote a report for the oldest his senior year, he turned it in and got a B+. The next year John turned in the same report to the same teacher and got an A-, the year after that the youngest turned it in to the same teacher and got an A. The teacher liked it better each time he read it!
I’ve worked in corporate America for most of my life, where a lot of creative writing takes place (and if you don’t believe me, you really don’t know corporate America). I blogged to all my employees when I spent six weeks in India—they considered me quite the smartass. My corporate life has allowed me to live in Washington, Texas, Belgium and California.
I have been with the same man for seventeen years. He was born and raised in Texas, and twelve years ago I whisked him, kicking and screaming, to Southern California. Luckily he loves me and wants to be where I am, but he’s still a Texan at heart (although he doesn’t miss Texas summers). I’m a very lucky woman who enjoys swimming, traveling, babysitting her nieces and nephews and doing lots of “research” with her husband for upcoming books.
After being such a fan of romance all my life, I was reading Sophie Oak’s Bliss and Siren in the City series last year, and they weren’t coming out fast enough. I started thinking about a place up in the Northwest, and characters started spinning in my head. Then came Chance. Once he was there, he demanded to be put down on paper. I don’t really write the stories. For real, the stories just come out of my fingers onto the computer screen. Half the time I’m surprised by what ends up being typed!

Claiming Kara by Caitlyn O'Leary Review
Five years ago, Kara Johansen met and fell in love with brothers Ben and Quinn Shotbrook while on vacation with her fire fighter brothers in Sitka, Alaska. They planned to marry, when tragedy struck the Shotbrook family, leaving the brothers to care for their mother and younger brothers again. They sent Kara back home to Fate Harbor, Washington, promising that one day they would reunite. Years later, Kara has made the decision that she wants to marry and start a family of her own. She has put away her dreams of ever being with Ben and Quinn and instead focuses on men who are available to her here and now. Her meddling brothers inform Ben and Quinn of her plans. The brothers Shotbrook rush to Fate Harbor to do whatever it takes to reclaim the woman they never stopped loving. Has too much changed between them to save their love?
Well Ladies and Gents, I am going to
let you into a little secret of mine...I love Ménage stories, and Claiming Kara
has fast become one of my favorites, and
no, it’s not because we share the same first name (although it gives me a
thrill when reading the book J ).
So the story goes like this, Kara is
in love with two men, luckily for her they are brothers AND they both want a
plural relationship. But after troubles with their family back home in Alaska,
Ben and Quinn (the brothers) send her home. Well after a year and a half of
waiting for them, Kara is heartbroken and has decided that she is not going to
wait for them anymore and starts serial dating. When the brother’s hear that
she is dating and dismissing their dreams of their lives together the rush to
her, only to find that Kara has had enough…of both of them. I am going to leave
the story there as I don't spoil it for you
The story is so well written and I
loved it, even the flashbacks (which I would normally hate). The characters are
three- dimensional and you can really feel their emotions. Other than the
dickhead doctor (one of Kara’s dates), I loved every character. I think my
favorite is Quinn, although they are all great.
I give Claiming Kara 10 out of 10 and
kudos to Caitlyn O'Leary for writing such a fantastic book
“No, she needs to listen to me. You both do.” Quinn’s voice was implacable. He pushed Kara’s thighs up so that her knees were almost on either side of her breasts. “Hold her,” he commanded his brother. Ben reached down and grasped her legs behind the knees, keeping her open for Quinn’s perusal. She gasped as she looked down, seeing the top of her sex splayed wide with Quinn so big and imposing leaning over her, looking directly into her eyes. “You will listen to me, little one. I refuse to hurt you.” He set the condom to the side and swiped his fingers through her wet sex, pulsing with need even more than when Ben’s cock was deep in her mouth. Then she felt him enter her, and it was much more than before. Where before he had used maybe two of his sizeable fingers to stroke inside her, he now had to be using three, and she arched up in welcome. Then he pulled them out, taking more of her silky essence with him. Then he pushed more fingers in again, and she winced at the burn.
“It hurts, doesn’t it, Kara?” He demanded an answer. All she could do was nod her head yes.
Finally she gasped out, “It hurts good, Quinn.” She saw his relieved smile. He continued to pump in and out, until finally she was pushing upward to meet the rhythm of his entry, glorying in the sense of fullness, in the connection with this man. She saw his amber eyes glitter as they watched her intently, assessing her body’s reaction. He took his fingers out to suck them in his mouth, and she shuddered, watching him relish her flavor as his face flushed.
They’d been right to blindfold her. She was now experiencing every sense, and it was amazing. She watched as he picked up the condom, and ripped it open with his intensely white teeth. As he sheathed his cock, she tried to reach forward to touch him, but Ben’s grip kept her in place.
“Next time, Kara,” Ben soothed. “We want to make you feel good. Let Quinn do this.” She watched and felt as the broad head of his cock, so much more than his fingers, snuggled at her needy entrance.
“Oh, my God, can you see this, Ben?” Quinn looked up with a stunned expression, including his brother in this most intimate moment. Ben bent forward over her head, getting a better view. She gave a huff of dissatisfaction that she couldn’t see what they were seeing.
“She’s incredible, brother,” Ben said in a strained voice. Then Kara felt the liquid push just trying to breach the tight muscle of her opening, and she couldn’t help but flinch at the discomfort. Quinn looked deep into her eyes. He felt the resistance of her body, and knew that his girth had to be causing some pain.
“Help her, Ben,” Quinn instructed, while he held still. Ben kept hold of her left leg but gently lowered her right leg, and then his fingers were hovering over her engorged clit, and just one touch had her gasping in reaction. As if he understood that anything more than a featherlike touch would be too much for her swollen bud, he softly caressed her, causing sparks to emanate from that one spot to her entrance, relaxing her and allowing Quinn to slide deeper, until the head was buried inside her, filling her. It was wonderful. She felt the heat and power of the man, and she thrust up, needing him deeper. Again, he looked carefully into her eyes, gauging her ability to accept more. When he determined that with Ben’s ministrations, and her own longing, he could continue, he sank further, until she felt him nestle against her womb.
“Yes, Quinn,” she wailed. “Nothing has ever felt this good.” Ben took his fingers away and she grabbed his wrist, trying to hold him, but he easily moved his fingers to his mouth and sucked them clean, savoring her essence and wetting the digits even further. Then he put them back to where she so desperately needed them and pressed and circled even harder, and that’s when Quinn started a slow pull out, followed by a faster thrust in, once again tapping softly against the mouth of her womb, causing her to spasm in delight. He continued, faster and faster.
“Harder and faster, both of you, harder and faster.” She was thrashing her head. She felt the slight flicker of childhood firework sparklers, and they were building to firecrackers popping off as she whimpered with excitement. Then she felt a roman candle going off, and finally she screamed as the deafening grand finale came and the night sky exploded into showers of color.
I write the Fate Harbor series for Siren. Fate Harbor is based on the Pacific Northwest town where I grew up, and filled with the same kind of quirky, loving people I remember.
My books are filled with men and women who aren't perfect. They have problems, issues, angst, but every single one of them are good people who are deserving of love, (and steamy ménage sex.)
On May 23rd 2014, USA Today Recommended "Protecting Olivia" in their Hot New Romance Books. "Protecting Olivia" is book number two in the Fate Harbor Series.
I hope you'll take your time to explore the site, check out the books and excerpts and sign up for the newsletter. You can also send me comments. I would LOVE to hear whose story your think should be next.
