Desmond “Diesel” Black is a Nomad with the Dark Knights motorcycle club. He protects others with his life and always rides alone. Tracey Kline left the only family she had for a man who broke more than her spirit, leaving her untrusting and on her own. When a twist of fate reveals pieces of the other no one else sees, will they be able to help each other mend their past hurts and learn to trust the chemistry and connection that’s too strong to deny?

The Whiskeys are perfect beach reads with depth of story, strong family ties, and a wealth of emotions. Small town love stories with happily ever afters guaranteed. The Dark Knights motorcycle club is not a typical MC book. These bad-boy bikers are tough, but they have hearts of gold...and they're not afraid to use them.

Running on Diesel is the book that I didn't know I was waiting for, but the one that has made the whole series for me!

Do you ever open up a book and it rocks you to your foundations, well that is what this book did to me. The story of Diesel and Tracey has been a long time coming, and of course, we knew that their relationship wasn't going to run smoothly, but I think this is one of the truest relationships in a romance book that I have ever read, but I think that is just what made the characters even more important to me.

I have to say that Melissa Foster manages to surprise me with every book that she releases, her characters become even more relatable. In Tracey, I see a vulnerable woman who takes no crap from anyone, and who has the walls up to keep herself safe, but eventually, she becomes the woman inside that she portrays on the outside and it finally allows her to open herself to Diesel, and with that information, Diesel changes her whole life for the better, giving her back the one thing she thought she lost forever.

But it's not all smooth sailing for Diesel either, as he has things in his past that he doesn't want to revisit, and that is in part why Diesel has been putting off visiting his family in Colorado for months, because he wanted to stay with Tracey, despite not allowing him to believe that he is worthy of love, but when a photo changed his whole life, the one who is there for him is Tracey.

Melissa Foster continues to blow me away with every new book that she writes, but Running on Diesel blows my mind and has firmly wormed into my heart.

I give Running on Diesel 5 stars
