High Heels in the Highlands is an absolute riot from the very start! I don't think I have laughed so hard with a book in my life. From sheep-involved car accidents to American tourists, to an art theft sting, High Heels in the Highlands has it all.
I didn't read the first book in this series, so I didn't know all of the back story about the inheritance and the titles, but the author fills you in quickly, but I wouldn't recommend this book as a stand-alone, as I feel like I have missed out on a lot of the intricacies of the back story, which I'm planning on rectifying by reading the first book.
The characters were such a blast and I have to say that I felt a kinship with Clementine and her sisters, especially with the tough upbringing. And Otto's feisty personality and love of cats just set the book for me.
