I’m super excited to be reading the next installment of The Little Book Café, I really enjoyed the first book, and now we are back with the ever so eccentric Emma, who feels like she is stuck in a rut! She is dying to get out of her parents home and move in with her hunky boyfriend Ollie, but he is devoted to the Berecombe RNLI training, and they are saving every penny so they can afford somewhere, but to Emma, it seems to be taking too long. So to escape from the noise and chaos at home, Emma either goes to work at the estate agents with Tash or escapes into a book (totally can relate).
Dissatisfied with life in general, Emma decided to take a literacy course, but soon finds herself being influenced by the course teacher Josh, but is Josh’s interest just as a teacher, or something more sinister.
Well, I can honestly say that Book 2 of The Little Book Café: Emma’s Story certainly lived up to my expectations! The story is fresh and so refreshing to read, and totally kept me gripped till the end, and I am seriously struggling not to tell you why! It was great to see some old and new characters and to be back in Berecombe again, and I cannot wait for the next installment of The Little Book Café.
I give The Little Book Café: Emma’s Story 5 stars.
