Lori Wilde returns to Moonglow Cove, Texas, with a heartwarming novel about two estranged sisters who must come together after they receive a bizarre inheritance from their grandmother.

It was an inheritance neither sister expected--a lighthouse in Moonglow Cove, left to them by a grandmother they never knew! Harper and Flannery weren't exactly best friends either. For years, Flannery had held down the home front, taking care of their sick mother and raising a daughter, while Harper sent nothing but checks. And after their mother's funeral the two sisters had an argument that left them not speaking for six years--why, Harper didn't even know she has a niece!

But life has a way of changing when you least expect it. And the sisters discover their grandmother's will has a stipulation: the two of them must live there, work out their issues... and compete in baking challenges with a hundred-year-old sourdough starter. If either of them gives up, or fails to keep the starter alive, they lose the lighthouse. Will they be able to come together and see their grandmother's wish come true? Or will these two sisters forever be estranged?

Author Lori Wilde is well known for writing contemporary romances set in Texas and while I have read a couple of her books in the past, I hadn’t read one in a while, but after reading the synopsis of The Lighthouse on Moonglow Bay I just knew I had to read it!

Now I’m going to put a little trigger warning here, this book contains sensitive subjects such as Emotional and Physical abuse, childhood trauma, and Alcohol addiction, if any of these are triggers for you, this may not be the book for you.

Harper and Flannery are sisters, who have a strained relationship and are brought back together over an inheritance, but it seems like fate knew that this was the moment that they needed each other. But along with reconnecting come surprises, and how wonderful some of those surprises are! Sometimes the darkness rears its ugly head, but this time Haper and Flannery have support and they prove that the Lighthouse on Moonglow Bay really does banish the darkness.

The Lighthouse on Moonglow Bay is such a powerfully moving book! Not with just the romance you expect from a book by this author, but the powerful family reconnections and overcoming the hurdles of the past in order to bring happiness to the future.

I give The Lighthouse on Moonglow Bay 5 stars
