When Iris Greene's boyfriend surprises her with a romantic dinner at their favorite restaurant, she's expecting a proposal, not a move to another country.
But Amsterdam proves to be the change she never knew she needed, and a surprise encounter with a local actor leads Iris to new friends and the rediscovery of a long-lost passion. While Iris thrives in a city filled with festivity, her boyfriend struggles, and her heart is torn in two.
As snow falls and secrets are revealed, Iris must decide her future. Will she be brave enough to start over and take a chance on love?
If there was ever a romance novel I would want to star in, it’s this one! Not only does this book take me back to one of my favorite cities I have ever worked in, but it also combines Christmas with it and ends in love! But I digress
Iris Greene works in a job that she hates, to have the life she thinks she has always wanted with her boyfriend Will, and after receiving flowers with a card from him, inviting her to dinner at a bistro, Iris thought that he was going to propose…. But nothing went as expected, and instead of a ring, Iris's whole life changed, when Will informed her that he had taken a job in Amsterdam and now they were moving.
Despite Iris's resistance to moving to Amsterdam, once there Iris fell in love with the city and began to make friends, and for the first time in a long time, Iris felt truly happy! And not with her rose-colored glasses clouding her judgment, she starts to see Will for who he truly is…
The Amsterdam Affair is a truly outstanding book, that gave me that Christmas joy and love that I had been missing for so long.
