Safe in His Storm is book one in the new The Perfect Storm Duet series by Annalise Delaney, who is a new author to me and more I was curious to try.

Now let's be blunt, this book is an installment book, and it ends on a cliffhanger and you would have had thought that a book with 40 chapters in it, that that would be enough for one couple! But apparently not!

And while the cliffhanger was the biggest drawback for me, the actual theme of the book, which is light D/s relationship, it harks of 50 shades, but think more cabins and trucks, than penthouse and jets.

The characters Gabi and Jake are defiantly characters that you will like from the get-go, though meeting on the side of the road, in a storm, is certainly not the way most folks meet, but hey, who am I to judge.

Overall it was an enjoyable BDSM light book, one that I wish would be all in one book rather than installments, but well written and constructed.
