Hard To Hold On To by Laura Kaye Review

Edward "Easy" Cantrell knows better than most the pain of not being able to save those he loves--which is why he is not going to let Jenna Dean out of his sight. He may have just met her, but Jenna's the first person to make him feel alive since that devastating day in the desert more than a year ago.

Jenna has never met anyone like Easy. She can't describe how he makes her feel--and not just because he saved her life. No, the stirrings inside her reach far beyond gratitude.

As the pair are thrust together while chaos reigns around them, they both know one thing: the things in life most worth having are the hardest to hold on to.

This book is by far my favorite of the lot, but that might be because Easy is my favorite character.

Just remember that is book is a novella, not a full length book, but to tell you the truth, I don't feel like you missed anything and I really do think that this is a very important part of the Hard Ink Series and if Ms. Kaye had included it in a part of a book, it would have lost the power message it is trying to highlight.

From the moment Easy carried Sara in to the compound, he is drawn to her. Also the moment that Sara regains consciousness, Sara needs and wants Easy. They both are struggling and they find solace in each other. I am really restricted by what I can tell you about this story, as I don't wish to give away any spoilers.

Love, love, love this story! It completely drew me in, it at parts it felt like I couldn't breathe. The writing is smooth and the issues Ms. Kaye raises in this story are clearly well researched and I give her kudos for that.

That being said, I will give this book a 10 out of 10, because this book really is a gem.
